After your wound has been closed, you can immediately start silicone therapy. It is important to start quickly because your scar will remain active for about 1.5 to 2 years. During this period you have the most influence on the recovery.
For optimal results, we recommend wearing the silicone plasters for a minimum of 12 to a maximum of 20 hours per day.
The silicone patches are washable and reusable. Change Scarban daily and clean the silicone patch after use with the supplied soap. After washing, let the plaster dry with the sticky side up and then place it over the scar again.
Please note that treating a scar takes approximately 3 to 6 months.
