The effect of silicone
By covering the closed wound (the scar) with Scarban medical silicone, you normalize moisture loss to almost the same level as the surrounding skin. In response, the body stops producing too much scar tissue. As a result, the scar becomes smoother, flatter, less red and calms down more quickly. Start treatment with silicone plasters after complete wound closure. For optimal results, it is preferable to wear the silicone plasters for a minimum of 12 to a maximum of 20 hours per day.
The silicone patches are washable and reusable. Change Scarban daily and clean it with the supplied soap. Allow to dry with the adhesive side up and then place over the scar again.
Please note that treating a scar takes approximately 3 to 6 months.

Wij hebben hele goede ervaring met scarban siliconen pleisters. Mijn dochter van 2 had een diep gat in haar voorhoofd met 7 hechtingen. Nadat de hechtingen eruit waren en de korst eraf zijn we gelijk begonnen. Waar we begonnen met een echte inkeping was dat na 10 dagen al helemaal egaal getrokken met de omliggende huid. Na 3 maanden is het litteken nog maar heel licht zichtbaar. De pleisters zijn goed op maat te knippen en makkelijk te wassen en daardoor kunnen we met elke pleister zeker een maand doen. Echt een aanrader en het geld meer dan waar
