Cinoscar™ is a medical silicone gel for the treatment and prevention of abnormal (hypertrophic or keloid) scars. Cinoscar™ gel can be applied anywhere on the skin. It feels silky smooth.

Cinoscar™ gel ensures..

• that abnormal scars develop less quickly
• that scars become flatter, smoother and thinner
• that functional objections (persistent redness, scar pulling, itching, limitation of movement, discomfort and cosmetic objections) decrease.

In the Netherlands, Cinoscar™ is, in principle, reimbursed from basic health insurance, provided it is prescribed by a doctor, general practitioner or nursing specialist. Whether the product is reimbursed also depends on the scar and the health insurer with which you are insured.

Cinoscar™ silicone gel dries quickly and is non-greasy and non-sticky. Cinoscar® gel dries into an invisible 'film' and forms a thin layer on the skin without penetrating the skin, so that there is constant contact with the skin.

The silicone gel seals off the skin around the scar (occlusive environment), resulting in increased hydration of the skin (epidermis). The increased hydration ensures that the damaged scar skin recovers more quickly and that functional problems associated with scars decrease.

Ingredients

Cinoscar contains the following ingredients:

• Dimethicone
• Dimethicone Crosspolymer
• Cyclopentasiloxane
• Cyclohexasiloxane

Usage

1. Cleanse and dry the skin before use.
2. Apply the gel thinly in a single stroke, do not rub.
3. Recommended dose of Cinoscar™ : Apply to scar twice a day.
   – Post-operative: for at least 8 weeks
   – With an existing scar: for at least 16 weeks
4. When the gel is dry, cosmetics can be applied over it.
